This is really hard to express and find the appropriate words to explain the feelings about being a Fulbrighter, being in New York, being in St. John's and meeting all those wonderful people connected to Fulbright program. Ah! where should I begin. Let me start with the first fulbrighter I met on 27/07/2014 afternoon, he looked strange yet familiar, A wonderful person you are, Mohammed! I will always remember you like that. The second day, I got to see all those strange faces who were connected to me through fulbright program because they have been through the same hard work, tough path and long journey to be here at this great place called New York. Though, I had mixed feeling about it, A little scared I was but more happier then ever, excited to start a new chapter of my life and more over first time abroad!
Everything fell into place very soon. I met Sue, she is so adorable and caring. It felt so good. Aaron, shea and Cassandra are very supportive and fun. I feel fortunate to have so many new friends. Danielle's smile can make my day. Marcia's style is simply amazing. Classrooms are fun and full of knowledge. Cock-tail party was delightful. I really felt significant being a fulbrighter. That evening and everything about it was superb.
Although, there were times of sickness and disappointments (fever, subways, jet-leg etc.) for me but its all about learning from our mistakes, keep the positives and go on. So, Jessi, Nayrooz, Chun tung, Tamella, Ayeaye, Nisar, Moussa, Mohamed, Rafi, Alina, Marie, Maria, Eva, Chamila, jagat, Sviatoslav, Dorian, Hiro, Ana, Tabassum, Rohela, Sadiyah, Roman and Chanman........thanks a lot to all of you for make this week a memorable one and pardon my ignorance , if I am missing someone's name here.I enjoyed the excursion.
I went to explore the city and people are so helpful and kind, New York is so beautiful and it has a great colorful history; I am in love with the city.
I am looking forward to next two weeks and hope for the best of best! love you all.

For us jaded New Yorkers, it's wonderful to see our city through your eyes, and get excited about it all over again. Too often, we take it all for granted. Thanks for your enthusiasm and kind comments.
